Website Redesign

The Silver Dollar Saloon is one of Colorado’s oldest bars, a historic Leadville landmark that’s been serving locals and travelers alike since 1879.

I set out to modernize and elevate their online presence while preserving its historic charm and small-town spirit. The new website needed to highlight their restaurant service, introduce online merchandise sales, and capture the authentic character that’s made the saloon a Leadville landmark since 1879.

Challenge
The existing site hadn’t been updated in over five years and was built on a basic GoDaddy template with limited functionality and no cohesive brand experience. In addition to transferring the domain, the redesign needed to visually honor the saloon’s history while giving it a fresh, modern edge that still felt true to its roots.

Result
Built on Wix, the new website blends functionality with storytelling. Custom textures, underlays, and vintage-inspired details bring the bar’s legacy to life while maintaining a seamless user experience. The finished site now features an integrated online shop, a clear and accessible restaurant menu, and an aesthetic that celebrates the saloon’s heritage.
