The Silver Dollar Saloon is one of Colorado’s oldest bar, a historic Leadville landmark that’s been serving locals and travelers alike since 1879. With over a century of stories within its walls, the saloon needed a website that honored its heritage while meeting the expectations of today’s visitors.
The existing site hadn’t been updated in more than five years. Built on a basic GoDaddy template, it offered limited functionality, outdated information, and a disjointed brand experience that didn’t reflect the saloon’s rich history or quality of service. While many people visited the site, the outdated design made it difficult to trust and engage with the business online.
The goal of this project was to create a modern, functional, and historically rooted website that reestablished credibility and showcased everything the Silver Dollar offers…from its restaurant and bar to its catering service.
Built on Wix, the new website blends storytelling with usability. Custom textures, layered imagery, and vintage-inspired accents bring the saloon’s legacy to life, while clear navigation and mobile responsiveness ensure a smooth experience for visitors.
The result is a cohesive, high-performing site that reflects both the heritage and hospitality that make the Silver Dollar Saloon a true Leadville icon.
